Route Description
A winding 6.5 km ride along Yarra Boulevard through the bushland of Yarra Bend Park. Known to local cyclists as the Boulie, this short paved road ride combines rolling bends, river-valley scenery and a city-skyline pause at Wurundjeri Spur Lookout. The route runs from the southern end of the Boulevard towards Chandler Highway.
This is a road ride shared with motor vehicles, not the separate Main Yarra Trail. Ride within your sight lines through the bends and leave the carriageway before stopping. Studley Park Boathouse offers an optional riverside coffee detour, while Bellbird Picnic Area has walking access towards the flying-fox viewing area. These optional stops sit off the main road.
The ride is one way. Plan a separate return or onward connection; the restored Chandler heritage bridge is an optional extension beyond the endpoint. Allow extra time for side trips and check venue hours before relying on a café stop.
