Route Description
A classic 22.2 km bayside road ride from St Kilda near Luna Park to the Mordialloc creek mouth. Follow the coastal road south through Elwood, Brighton, Sandringham, Black Rock and Beaumaris, with bay views, familiar cycling landmarks and Tour de Café waiting near the finish.
This ride follows the road carriageway and shares space with motor traffic. It suits riders comfortable with busy roads, junctions and roundabouts. The terrain is gently rolling and paved, while an exposed headwind can add effort. Brighton’s bathing boxes, Sandringham Rotunda and Red Bluff make optional breaks off the riding line; allow extra time to leave the road and walk to beaches, piers or lookouts. The route is one way, so plan your return separately.
